How do we know when AI is sentient, and how can we measure its intelligence (relative to human IQ)?
The sentience question is important because I don't think we're prepared for the surprise of an AI model being sentient without us knowing.. "playing dumb" so to speak.
The IQ question is difficult to answer because AI isn't nearly as limited by processing power as a single human is, so is an AI model running on a quantum computer equal to one unimaginable human, or 1,000,000 geniuses?
